One thing I'm very serious about is adding a personal touch to things.
Our Wedding Bands
My husband did an excellent job picking out my engagement ring. It's modern but classic! He matched the same metal as my great grandmother's wedding band. They were both platinum. Her ring was a simple thin band. I added a small diamond bridge and am able to have her with me wherever I go. It's so sweet and their initials and wedding date in the 1920's is engraved inside. I got my husband's band engraved as well.
My Flower Girl Basket
My flower girl basket is made of my great grandmother and my mother's wedding gown. The silk flowers inside the basket were from my cousin's wedding and her daughter was my flower girl.
My Ring Bearer Pillow
My Ring Bearer pillow is made from my mother's dress, my grandmother's dress on my father's side and my great grandmother's dress on my mother's side. In the middle are my grandparents on my mother's side who were in heaven for my wedding.
My Corsage
My corsage was my something blue and something old. The little charm belonged to my grandmother and the lace was from my other grandmother's dress.
Charms
My bouquet had 3 charms inside of small frames (pictured below on top of my vow book). These charms held my mother's dress, my great grandmother's dress and my grandmother's dress.
My Vow Books
Our vow books I found in TJMaxx. We wrote our own vows, so it was nice to have a pretty book for photos and it was easy to find for the ceremony!
